A little planning goes a long way in making the most of your weekend on Hwy 301!
Parking & Driving
- Park completely off Hwy 301. Don’t block traffic—use driveways, parking lots, or vendor-designated areas.
- Slow down and stay alert. Pedestrians will be everywhere.
- Use a co-pilot lookout. Spot vendors while the driver stays focused.
- Keep emergency lanes clear. Don’t block access points.
Pedestrian Safety
- Park, then shop. Avoid stopping in the road.
- Be careful crossing 301. Always look both ways.
- Watch young children closely. Bright clothing helps with visibility.
Beat the Heat
- Dress for summer. Light clothing, closed-toe shoes, and a hat.
- Sunscreen & shade. Reapply often and take breaks in shaded areas.
- Stay hydrated. Bring cold water, sports drinks, and snacks.
Extra Tips
- Bring cash (small bills). Not all vendors take cards.
- Use a cart or reusable bags. Make carrying purchases easier.
- Plan your route. Check maps to target your top spots.
- Have space for treasures. Larger vehicles or shipping options can help.
